A Simple 3 Day Queenstown Itinerary

Moments Between Check-In and Goodbye

Queenstown is one of those places where you could do a lot… or not much at all and still have a great time.

If you’re only here for a few days, this is a simple way to experience a bit of everything without feeling rushed.

Day 1

Arrive, settle in, and take it easy.

Start with a walk along Lake Wakatipu. It’s the best way to get a feel for the place without overplanning anything.

Find a spot for lunch, explore the town a little, and just ease into it.

Later in the afternoon, head up the Skyline Queenstown Gondola. The view over the lake and mountains is one of the best in town, especially around sunset.

Finish the day with a relaxed dinner somewhere by the water.

Day 2

A mix of something fun and something slower.

In the morning, try something a bit more active. Jet boating with Shotover Jet is a good option if you want a bit of excitement.

After that, slow things down.

Head out to Gibbston Valley for a long lunch or a wine tasting. The drive itself is beautiful, and it’s a nice contrast to the energy of Queenstown.

Take your time here. There’s no need to rush back.

Day 3

A slower, more scenic day.

Drive out to Glenorchy. The road follows the lake the whole way, and it’s honestly one of the nicest drives around.

Stop along the way, take photos, or just enjoy the view.

Once you get there, walk around a bit, have something small to eat, and enjoy how quiet it feels compared to town.

Head back in the afternoon and spend your last evening however you feel like.

A small note from us

We’re still at the beginning with BellaVista, but one thing we really enjoy is helping people make the most of their time here without overcomplicating it.

If you ever feel unsure about what to do or how to plan your days, we’re always happy to share a few suggestions or adjust things to what feels right for you.

Sometimes the best trips are the ones that stay simple.
